Meet our Huskies: the SCSU campus committee

We here at St. Cloud State University want to let you know that we are serious about our commitment to Students United. Thus, we won’t try to be quirky, cute or anything besides ourselves. Because we are what we are and that is our strength.

Students United to me is a good resource to have for those who don’t have a voice. We can connect with other MNSCU schools and get stuff passed to better all MNSCU schools. It forces me to step out of my comfort zone a little bit so I have to find ways to connect with other United members.

What would you like to change about the world?

I want everyone to have a chance at an education

Finance with a minor in Entrepreneurship

Why did you choose this major?

I’ve always enjoyed looking to the future in finances because it’s the avenue for change and growth.

What do you hope to achieve with your major?

I want to have a future career that I enjoy and that excites me. I want to be the one who steers a company decision to a bigger and better tomorrow.

Name 5 strengths about yourself

Some of my strengths rely on my communications with individuals and hopefully being able to capture their strengths and grow them into something better than what they were before.

Name 5 weaknesses about yourself

Some of my weaknesses are not being amazing and being shy. Don’t get me wrong I can go up to anyone and start a conversation but the hard part for me is walking up to them. In recent years I’ve been learning how to overcome my weaknesses.

Ambition- To run my own business in the future.

Dreams- Impact the world through my business in a positive way

Hopes- That I’m always learning and growing as an individual and never stagnate as a person

What does Students United mean to you? And how does it help you achieve your goals?

Students United for me is bridging the gap between state and federal government to the student. Their voices are often unheard and underrepresented. We are what connect students to topics and issues that are important to students. Students United has helped me achieve in many different ways. One of the ways is it allows me to learn more about real world situations, and how to gather support and make a change in the world. It’s not an easy process but I’m definitely learning.

What would you like to change about the world?

There’s many things that need to be changed with the world but its learning how to do it one at a time. This is the first step that I’m still learning to leave a positive influence in the world.
