Taylor Eck

My name is Taylor Eck, and I am a junior at Winona State University with a major in Public Relations and a minor in Advertising. Something that makes me unique is that I took part of Minnesota’s PSEO program in high school so I am only 20 years old, and will be graduating shortly after turning 21. I am overjoyed to begin my journey with Students United as a PR & Events Intern.

I am originally from a small town outside of Grand Rapids, Minnesota where I graduated from Greenway High School. I graduated as the salutatorian, and was able to present a farewell speech at my high school graduation. After graduation, I moved to Winona, Minnesota to attend Winona State University. So far, during my time at Winona State, I have had the opportunity to embark on a travel study to China where I was able to study new media communication in cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou. I am also a very active member of PRSSA, and spend a lot of my time in the library.

In my free time, I like to keep busy. I am very passionate about Public Relations, so I spend a lot of time studying. While I love to study and expand my knowledge of Public Relations, I also love photography, hanging out with my friends and family, going to concerts and traveling. A fun fact about me is that Demi Lovato is my idol, and I have had the opportunity to meet her three times.

I am so excited to be working with Students United as a PR & Events Intern because this internship allow me to take all that I’ve learned in the classroom and apply to this position. I can’t wait for all of the experiences this internship will allow me to gain, and above all I am excited to grow as a result of this internship.
