Office Assistant 

Job Title: Office Assistant Reports to: Director of Operations

Status: Part Time Non-exempt Salary/Schedule: $15 per hour; 7-15 hours per week


Position Summary:

Maybe you find organizing therapeutic, maybe you go above and beyond in your organizing skill --- have a multicolored planner? This entry-level job is for you! We are seeking an individual to join our amazing team (we think we are pretty cool.) This person will work with the Students United’s Director of Operations to ensure our organization runs smoothly. This role will focus on office management, database management and event planning. This person will have the opportunity to take initiative on large organizing projects and process improvements. We want someone who spots a problem and find the solution! This is a part-time position based in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage filing system.

  • Record information as needed.

  • Update paperwork and maintain documents.

  • Organize travel by booking accommodations and reservations needs as needed.

  • Assist with coordinating events as necessary.

  • Create, maintain, and enter information into multiple databases.

  • Maintain supply inventory.

  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of Students United communications.

  • Manage Students United office equipment and office internet technology.

  • Maintain Students United mobile application.

  • Organize and maintain office common areas.

  • Perform general office clerk duties and errands.

  • Greet clients and visitors as needed.

  • Assist in invoice and receipt management.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma

  • Familiarity with Microsoft

  • Comfortable working and learning new programs, such a database

  • Ability to write clearly and help with word processing when necessary

  • Warm personality with strong communication skills

  • Ability to work well under limited supervision

  • Great communication skills

  • Strong organization skills
