ABOUT THE FUNDRAISER

Join Students United, Protect Borrowers, and LEAD MN for a timely conversation on student loans, including how elected officials at all levels of government can support student loan borrowers. We’re pleased to host the Protect Borrowers (formerly Student Borrower Protection Center), who will share insights on Federal policy trends shaping the how students pay for college, and how states are protecting borrower rights, with practical takeaways for Minnesota.  Scones, coffee provided. This is a free event, but please RSVP! About Students United: Students United is the official advocacy organization for students attending the seven Minnesota State Universities. Since 1967, Students United has advocated at the system, state, and federal levels on behalf of students, ensuring student voices are heard at all levels of government. About Protect Borrowers: Protect Borrowers (formerly Student Borrower Protection Center) is a team of experts, lawyers, and advocates fighting to build an economy where debt doesn’t limit opportunity. Protect Borrowers investigates financial abuses, take predatory companies to court, and push for policies to protect working people from debt traps. Protect Borrowers aims to deliver immediate relief to families while building power and driving systemic change.

About LEAD MN: Lead MN represents two-year state college students throughout Minnesota to help them transform their lives and their communities through advocacy, action, and supportive development.
