Any Minnesota State undergraduate or graduate student interested in a public service internship is eligible for Fellowship candidacy.
Internship may not be already underway at the application deadline
Any Minnesota State undergraduate or graduate student who is committed to community service is eligible. Students must have completed at least one semester at a Minnesota State college or university.
Any Minnesota State undergraduate student who has completed at least 24 credits by the end of the current academic year
Plan to register for a minimum of 12 credits per semester at a Minnesota State university for the upcoming academic year.
A junior or senior at a Minnesota State university, having completed at least two academic years (30 semester credits)
Exhibit a special or unique financial need that would prohibit continuing their education
Provides one student at each of the state universities a $500 award in the spring of each year
Recommendations are provided by the state universities.
A student of color
A Minnesota resident and graduated from a Minnesota high school or any Minnesota community or technical college
Unconditionally accepted at one of the seven Minnesota State Universities
Have received a scholarship from a Minnesota-based civic, religious, fraternal, social or nonprofit youth-serving organization
matching up to $1,000
Attending a Minnesota State University
Expectation of completing a four-year program leading to a degree
Must be a graduate of one of the St. Paul public senior high schools
Scholarship used for tuition and fees, books, and supplies
Eligibility for no more than two semesters of financial assistance
$2,000 per semester
