Location: Hybrid (Minnesota, Students United's Office is located in St. Paul)
Reports to: Board of Directors 
Salary range: $98,000-$110,000

Students United is searching for a collaborative, equity-driven Executive Director to lead our statewide student-led organization. This role is central to advancing our mission: uplifting the voices of Minnesota State University students and advocating for policies that strengthen higher education across Minnesota. 

 What You'll Do: 
As Executive Director, you will:

• Champion student-led advocacy at the system, state, and federal levels

• Partner closely with our student Board of Directors

• Lead strategic planning and organizational development

• Manage staff hiring, development, and culture

• Oversee financial management, budgeting, and development strategy

• Strengthen visibility and relationships with partners, alumni, and public officials

What You Bring: 

• A deep commitment to equity, inclusion, and student voice

• Experience in nonprofit or higher education leadership

• Strong strategic thinking, facilitation, and communication skills

• Experience supporting a Board of Directors

• Knowledge of higher education systems and legislative processes

• Minimum two years of nonprofit or foundation experience

• Ability to work evenings/weekends and travel across Minnesota, and once yearly to Washington, D.C., for our annual Federal Fly-In.
